London born Manish Malhotra is one of Bollywood’s most celebrated fashion designers. Whilst studying at the Elphinstone College in Mumbai, he took the opportunity to enter the fashion industry as a model. Without any formalised education in designing, Malhotra later joined Equinox, a Bandra based boutique. Malhotra’s big break came when he designed clothes for Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla. Since that time, he has designed garments for Bollywood sensations including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan as well as international pop royalty, Michael Jackson.
