on 15 January, 2019 Pablo Larrain is a Chilean Filmmaker whose main themes revolve around his own personal life experiences. He has directed seven feature films and one television series. His movies ‘No’ (2012) and ‘Jackie’ (2016) were nominated for the Academy Awards. His movie ‘A Fantastic Woman’ won the first Chilean Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. It all began in 2003, when he co-founded his production company Fábula with his brother. Larraín directed his first feature film Fuga in 2005 that was released in March 2006 and won international acclaim and prizes at many film festivals. His movies feature his insistently playful and perverse approach to history. He believes that “A good movie is always a good lie.”
