Stylist Adhuna Bhabani

Celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani used to regularly visit a salon in the United Kingdom as a child with her mother. Something about the ambiance of that place made her want to become a hairdresser. She then enrolled for a training course at a salon in Northwest England and won, the under-21 national junior hairstyling championship when she was just 17.

Later, she opened her first hair salon in Mumbai in 1998. She then expanded her business into an iconic chain of salons and hair products.

While the nineties were all about silver screen actresses sporting poker straight tresses, Adhina Akhtar brought back the more natural, wavy style with Indian actress Preity Zinta in the blockbuster Dil Chahta Hai (2001).

She also gave makeovers to all other young Bollywood stars and even made standout hairstyles accessible to young men and women who wanted to change their looks. But most importantly, she played a pivotal role in changing the way urban India thinks about hair styles and experimenting with different looks.
