Find a workout partner
Having a partner to train with will keep both of you accountable and motivated. The added encouragement is important to keep you on your training program. The banter and friendly competition will always push you just that little bit more.
Stay Hydrated
Our bodies are made up of 75% water. It is necessary in numerous systems to function properly. A lack of this vital element will cause a reduction of performance in your systems. As you exercise, your water content will be excreted, so you will need to drink more water, before, during and after exercise.
Focus on your form
Get your technique on point. Move well before adding any weight. Learning any movement requires many repetitions before you really get it. Be patient with movement and your progress. Consult a professional or stay up to date with respectable fitness blogs from qualified professionals.
Adequate Rest
One of the most overlooked aspect of training is rest. Rest allows recovery and improvements in your strength and also the adaptations from your training. Your recovery happens when you have that rest and especially when you are asleep, hence the mandatory 7 to 8 hours of sleep. Sleep is your best activity for recovery.
Record your Workouts
Keep track of your workouts. Keeping track keeps you interested in your fitness journey. Note your energy levels, physical changes, and mental activity. Before and after pictures are always best to see your results. Form a habit and take interest in your health and fitness. Start a fitness journal. Log your training, food, activity and thoughts.
