Amita Marie Young comes from Thai and American heritage. At age 11, she entered and successively won her first national talent contest, the Nissan Awards Thailand Junior Singing Contest. By age 14, she’d signed her first professional contract. In 1995, she debut album titled “Anita Tata Young” sold millions worldwide. Her gained success saw her subsequently win many awards at the Thai Radio Vote awards in 1996. In 1997, Amita received the prestigious Golden Pikkanes God Award from the Musical Artist Association of Thailand and became the youngest performer to do so.
In 2004, Tata released her English-language debut album, “I Believe” via Columbia Records. This album featured her renowned single ‘Sexy, Naughty, Bitchy.’
In the same year, Tata Young came to Bollywood with her song ‘Dhoom’ for the movie ‘Dhoom’ (2004). The song became a phenomenal success, topping the charts in India, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. Through her career, Young has released about nine studio albums, two EPs, five compilation albums and one remix album.
