Michael Maloney is an English actor who started his career with 1979 drama TV series ‘Telford's Change’. Maloney went on to star in many films and television series, and developed a stage career. His most recognised major role is for his portrayal as Kenneth Branagh's 1989 film adaptation of Henry V. In the early 1990s, Michael starred on television series ‘Mr. Wakefield’s Crusade’ and on film as Mark in ‘Truly, Madly, and Deeply’. In 1994 he took the lead in the BBC adaptation of ‘Love on a Branch Line’. Michael also appeared in both the 1990 and 1996 film versions of ‘Hamlet’, as well as several other Shakespeare screen adaptations.
In 2008, Michael accepted a part in Bollywood to play a leading role as a policeman in film ‘I see you’. In 2010, he sequentially appeared in the popular series ‘Casualty’, playing the role of Consultant Howard Fairfax. In 2013, he portrayed Sir Henry Stafford, third husband of Lady Margaret Beaufort, in the BBC TV series ‘The White Queen’. In more recent times in 2016, Maloney appeared in the Netflix series ‘Paranoid’.
